  1. Core Premise

    • In this 30-minute episode, Dr Sisko converses with Dr Matt Fisher about how health is determine by various social factors, and if we want to improve public health, we need to be creating environments where people are able to thrive and flourish. This includes our environmental ecosystems, our cities, towns, communities, work places, families, etc. How can we shape our culture and our world in a way that supports our overall health and well-being?

  2. Connection to Eutierria Therapy

    • This podcast episode is essential to Eutierria Therapy because it helps us to understand that health and illness is something that soley exists within an individual. Through this discussion we are reminded that we are part of a world of relationships, where all things interact and impact one another. If healthcare is to truly heal and provide health, it must be taking into account our whole environment and all of our relationships.

The learnings from this episode challenge the notion of individualized “disorders” and puts the focus on the relationships that the individual is a part of that are possibly not healthy. This helps us to zoom out to recognize that maybe the attention needs to be placed on the relational pathology versus the individual themselves.
