Community Agreements
A Relational Covenant for Walking Together in Good Way
PART 1: OUR FOUNDATION
Common Indigenous Beliefs We Practice Together
The following principles guide our community life together. These common beliefs, identified by Arthur Blume in his synthesis of Indigenous American Psychology, represent wisdom shared across many indigenous cultures and traditions:
People are bound to the Earth - We acknowledge our fundamental relationship with Creation as the source of life, meaning, and identity.
Creation is at the center of existence - We organize our community around what serves the wellbeing of all life, not human interests alone.
Creation is sacred; therefore, all things are sacred - We treat each member, each conversation, each resource as deserving of reverence and respect.
Spirituality is central to existence - We honor the spiritual dimensions of healing, learning, and relationship in all our interactions.
Egalitarian and interdependent relationships define our sacred existence - We practice equality and mutual support, recognizing our deep interconnection.
Time is cyclical, and process is important as a teacher - We value how we do things together, trusting in natural rhythms and second chances.
Harmony and balance in relationships are essential - We seek right relationship with each other, Creation, and ourselves.
Humility and tolerance are a way of seeking harmony and balance - We approach each other and this work with openness, patience, and cultural humility.
PART 2: OUR COLLECTIVE PRACTICE
Seven Acts of Reconciliation
Our shared work toward healing and right relationship
As a community, we engage together in these acts of reconciliation, drawn from Indigenous American Psychology Paradigm principles as expressed by Arthur Blume:
Reconciliation of humans with the rest of Creation - Healing our relationship with Earth, land, and all life forms
Reconciliation of present with past and future - Honoring ancestors while considering the impact of our actions on future generations
Reconciliation of healing work with all people - Making wellness and right relationship accessible across all identities and backgrounds
Reconciliation of social systems with all people - Working to transform systems that cause harm into systems that support collective flourishing
Reconciliation between different groups of people - Building bridges across difference and healing historical divisions
Reconciliation of individuals with family and friends - Supporting each other's personal relationship healing
Reconciliation of individuals with themselves - Encouraging inner work and self-compassion as part of collective healing
How We Walk Together
Relationships are ends in themselves - We prioritize connection and community wellbeing over individual advancement or business metrics.
We practice gifting over getting - We focus on what we can offer each other, sharing knowledge and resources generously.
We choose egalitarianism over hierarchy - All voices matter regardless of membership level; we avoid creating status divisions.
We value usefulness over ownership - Resources are meant to be shared and used for collective benefit.
We build trust and practice transparency - We assume good intentions and communicate openly about challenges and successes.
PART 3: PRACTICAL MATTERS
Sacred Exchange
We operate as a membership community. We want to be transparent about what this means:
What belongs to everyone freely:
The vision of Eutierria and living in right relationship with Earth
Your birthright to experience connection with Creation
The fundamental teachings about reconnection and healing
What we charge for:
Facilitated community spaces and discussions
Educational programs and structured learning
Curated library of resources and materials
The labor of building and maintaining this community infrastructure
We are committed to never putting the sacred vision behind paywalls. We charge only for the practical support, education, and community facilitation we provide. We hold ourselves accountable to this distinction and invite you to hold us accountable as well.
No one will turned away for lack of funds. We offer a sliding scale to make membership more accessible. If you would like to become a member, but need further financial accommodations, please reach out to Javier directly.
